In the Community panel (Drivers and Cars) we have a good look at a magnificent survivor of the re-birth of motor racing in Australia after World War 2. The country was ready for a return to the excitement and glory of circuits like Mount Panorama, Gnoo Blas, Lakeside, and Mount Druitt. New cars were rare and unobtainable. Local builders and drivers saw the need to produce home-grown Specials that could take on the rest of of the world. The So-Cal Special was a special car in all senses of the word, and owner-drivers over the years have appreciated its brilliance.
