1949 Bentley Mk I Special

This vehicle was originally built in sedan form and later converted to a racing Special in 1960 by well-known UK Bentley specialist, Alan Padget. The chassis was shortened and narrowed to fit the custom aluminium body.

Imported into Australia in 1983 by Noel Roscrow and campaigned since then, with considerable success in South Australia including Classic Adelaide and Collingrove hillclimb.  In recent years it has been a regular performer at Phillip Island.

2009 is the Bentley Mk 1 Special's first visit to Historic Winton as part of our tribute to '90 years of the Bentley'
