Scat

Italy 1906 -- 1914

Giovanni Ceirano’s Scat was a superb car whose production was partly financed by Newton and Bennett of Manchester.  The range included cars with 2722 cc 2949 cc 3052 cm 4710 cc and 4483 cc four cylinder engines and four-speed gearboxes.  The Scat was also successful in races; Ceirano won the 1911 and 1914 Targa Florio, Snipe -- Pardini the same event in 1912

Although several requests have been made to purchase one of these cars, few are available. But a restored Scat with coachwork by Newton and Bennett sold in the year 2004 for £23,000 to £26,000 Sterling/ US$33,500 37,500.
