The Alan Jones Memorial
The Alan Jones Memorial event is run annually at Historic Winton to commemorate the passing of Austin Healey enthusiast and ambassador, Alan Jones (no relation to the former world champion).

Alan was tragically killed in a road accident on his way home from Historic Winton in 1979.

Alan’s particular passion was the 100S (he owned AHS-3603).  He was the driving force behind the Austin Healey Owners Club of NSW and toured the USA in the seventies, promoting the marque and earning a high profile amongst the AH clubs of that country, as testified via an open letter to the world in their newsletter of the time of his death.

His family began The Alan Jones Memorial event in his honour, and this year marks 30 years since that fateful day.
